FROM THE DIRECTOR:
As you know, the
threat of terrorism knows no boundaries. It reaches
across the whole social and economic spectrum. As
such, small rural communities are facing some very
real problems in terms of dealing with and planning
for terrorist events.
Many
rural Law Enforcement agencies simply feel vulnerable
and left out of the loop by many federal agencies
in preparing for and pre-empting terrorist violence.
Unlike urban areas, rural agencies have very unique
vulnerabilities that lend themselves well to terrorist
exploitation. Remoteness of certain areas offers
training and sanctuary to various extremist groups,
and criminals alike.
As you will see
when reviewing the material, most of the training
is geared for Law Enforcement, Military, and corporate
interests, and the unique problems they face in
terrorist events. It is my goal that this type of
training will fill a very real need, while being
mission specific, as well as providing the necessary
confidence to effectively deal with a terrorist
event should it occur. To that end I offer this

ABOUT THE TRAINING AREA:
Located in Arco
Idaho, the training area is high desert terrain
nestled along the lost river valley some 67 miles
west of Idaho Falls Idaho. The training area extends
from 5326 feet to 12000 feet above sea level, closely
resembling terrain found in Iraq, and Afghanistan.
The variety of terrain, from high desert, river
bottom, to forested rugged mountains offers, some
of the best combat tracking training I have found.
