IED AWARENESS
FOR PROTECTION SPECIALISTS
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is an informative four hour course,
specifically designed for protection and
corporate security professionals. This is a
PowerPoint presentation which is heavily
supplemented with realistic IED displays.
Students will learn about the many different
types of improvised explosive devices in use
by terrorist’s world wide, from mail devices
to roadside IEDs. Other topics include
identification of IED components, prevention
strategies, detection, intelligence
gathering, and post blast analysis. This is
not a course on how to render safe an
explosive device. Instruction is meant to
inform the security professional on how to
safely identify and deal with the threat of
improvised explosive devices.
EXECUTIVE PROTECTION SEMINAR
SEMINAR DESCRIPTION:
This seminar is tailored to corporate
security management and security staff who
are be tasked with close protection of
corporate executives at the office, in
transit, or at the residence. The threat of
terrorism as well as the increase in
criminal activity, both domestically and
abroad, has placed huge demands on security
staff. The corporate security staff is
faced with the challenging task of ensuring
that their executive protection program, if
one exists, is current and prepared to handle
this demanding job.
This seminar is much more than a simple
bodyguard course; seminar topics include
organization of a protective detail,
explosive devices, risk analysis, protective
advance, and route advance. For the
executive who must travel, other topics
include: vehicle security, transitory
protection, medical profile, as well as the
executive profile. This two-day seminar is
literally crammed with expert advice and
organizational ideas to save time and money.
The executive protocol portion of the
seminar is devoted to all aspects of
conducting close protection as it relates to
the principle's family as well as the
executive boardroom.
Whether from a terrorist, criminal, or
mentally deranged individual, kidnapping and
assassination are real threats for the corporate
executive traveling abroad or simply across
the country. A protective detail cannot be
thrown together; it must be comprised of
well-trained individuals. This seminar will
lay the foundation for corporate security to
form and maintain a close protection team,
as well as how to implement policy and
training.
BOMB SEARCH AND
INCIDENT PLANNING
SEMINAR DESCRIPTION:
This is a one-day seminar designed for the
corporate security staff. Participants in
the seminar will be instructed in
the detection (not disposal) of an explosive
device. Stressed throughout the course is
command and control of search teams during
an explosive situation. The management team
will also be prepared in how to
properly evaluate threats and apply
effective counter measures, with as little
disruption to
business as possible.
The bomb search portion of the seminar deals
with the actual physical search for
explosive devices. Topics include detection
equipment, building searches, vehicle
searches, and mail devices, as well as
countermeasures and prevention strategies.
The incident planning portion deals with how to
properly plan for explosive events and
mitigate their threat to your business. This
includes topics such as crisis management
and team selection, emergency services, risk
analysis, and media relations, as well as
corporate liability, and prevention.
The devastating effects of a bomb can be
costly, not only in terms of human lives,
but in corporate liability and loss of
business. It is imperative that managers do
everything they can to prepare for and
prevent the threat. The Bomb Search and
Incident Planning seminar can be taught as
individual courses or combined, at the
client’s discretion.
LETTER AND
PARCEL BOMBS
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is a mini-seminar designed for at-risk
corporate entities. Many companies receive bulk mail from activists or the disgruntled
former employee, or worse from a deranged
individual who has taken the next step, and
actually sends a device through the mail. If
you feel your organization is at risk for
this type of threat, this seminar is for
you. This seminar is applicable to corporate
mail handlers and security.
Seminar topics include advice on prevention
and effective countermeasures, blast
effects, case studies, detection, as well
as providing current and future trends. This
two-hour PowerPoint presentation provides
the security manager with techniques that
will assist in mitigating, as well as
developing protocols and policy.
HOSTAGE SURVIVAL
SEMINAR DESCRIPTION:
This is an eight-hour seminar designed to
provide the executive with survival skills
necessary to travel safely. In addition to
the personal concerns, executives and
dignitaries have the responsibility for
their families and employees. This seminar
will equip the executive with valuable
knowledge on how to survive in today’s
terrorist oriented world.
Among the topics discussed are the executive
and corporate vulnerability, case studies,
transitory protection, security and the
family, kidnap and ransom insurance,
preventive measures, as well as what to do
if you are taken hostage. This seminar also
provides a realistic assessment of hostage
rescue and what you can do to improve your
odds for a successful outcome. This is
absolutely essential information for those
at risk or those who are planning a trip
overseas in to countries known for their
terrorist activity.
This seminar is applicable to corporate
staff, or can be tailored to accommodate the
entire family. Prevention strategies are
discussed in detail, as well as how to
become proactive in your own personal
security. A few hours in proactive training
now can prevent a brush with terrorism
later.
