 ABOUT
YOUR INSTRUCTOR: TED WILLIAMS CPS.
Ted joined the US Army in 1976 as an infantryman,
assigned to a scout platoon with the 1/12 CSC, 4th
Infantry Div, Fort Carson, Colorado. Ted was later
assigned to the 1/10 C Company, 2nd Infantry Div, in
the Republic of South Korea, again serving in a
scout platoon. Ted later served three years as a
part time security specialist in the Idaho Air
Guard. High lights while serving in the military
include the award of the EIB (expert in combat
arms), attending the South Korean Ranger School, as
well as a gold medalist at the 1980 Western Regional
Rifle competition at Fort Ord, California.
Ted is a ten year law enforcement veteran, working
at the city, county, and state level agencies. A
number of highlights during this time include; two
high profile manhunts, a member of the security
detail for Idaho Governor elect Cecil Andrus
inauguration and Governors ball. Ted was also part
of a security team providing asset protection for
Air force One, during two presidential visits to
Boise Idaho.
A graduate of Executive Security International, 2nd
in his class, as a Certified Protection Specialist.
Ted has provided contract security services to
corporate entities in crisis labor management, and
served as incident commander on several high profile
operations. Ted later provided contract security
consulting and training to civilian, and military
law enforcement in preparations for the 1990
Goodwill games.
Currently, Ted is owner, and Training Director of
Tactical Edge, a security, training, and consulting
company specializing in Tactical Tracking Operations
as well as various security related subjects to law
enforcement, military, and corporate entities. Ted
is a certified instructor in Tactical Tracking
Operations, Incident Response to Terrorist Bombing,
as well as various security related courses. Ted has
published several books on security and terrorism
related subjects. He is a member of the Association
of Counter Terrorism and Security Professionals, The
International Society of Professional Trackers, as
well as a member of VFW POST 7137.
